dubai bans electronic cigarettes

In a unfortunate move, Dubai is now also planning to ban the electronic cigarette. A special kind of taskforce responsible for tobacco control in the GCC (Gulf cooperation council) found the e-cigarettes to be “very dangerous and containing a lots of hazards to the health” (source article here). I still can’t believe the utter amateuristic analyses done by these medical professionals with regards to the e-cigarette.

Just look at this ridiculous quote from the above taskforce:

On the contrary, e-cigarette “will encourage smoking more and more,” especially among children, because “they can easily hide it as there is no fume and no smoke.

“Even if the father is sitting nearby, they can smoke and hide it in their pocket. It is very dangerous as it could encourage users to smoke more and more,” she emphasised.
